JSD students from Secunda compete in DTMA international competition

Hailey van den Berg, Mia Grobler, and Ilze-Mari Homan were selected to represent South Africa at the Disney World Dance Competition in Orlando in 2026.

Julie-Ann’s School of Dance students competed for top spots when they recently competed in the MSC Galaxy Of The Ocean Dance Talent and Model Association (DTMA) international competition.

Mia Grobler was the junior disco winner, and Hailey van den Berg was the senior disco winner. Donna Scott took the top spot of senior modern dancer.

Mia Peens was the junior freestyle winner and Ilze-Mari Homan was the senior freestyle winner. Special awards went to Mia Peens for Entertainment, Mia Grobler for Your Just Amazing, and Zuandri Joubert for Sassy Queen.

The following students received their DTMA international colours: Mia Peens, Mia Grobler, Juane Kluyts, Hailey van den Berg, Ilze-Mari Homan, Donna Scott, Mienke Blaauw, Thando Malaza, Luchelle Liebenberg, Ivanka Koekemoer, Leane Koekemoer, Kwazi Matula, Ndalenhle Vilakazi, Sbahle Skosana and Zuandri Joubert.
