Winners all around for Secunda Action Sports IPT netball teams
Secunda Action Sports junior netball league Inter Provincial Tournament players brought home gold, silver and bronze after competing for top spots in Cape Town.
They have done it again, with the medal wins in the Action Sports Junior League Inter-Provincial Tournament (IPT), played at the Montague Action Sports arena in Cape Town from April 2 to April 6.
Secunda Action Sports ladies U16B’s, U19B’s and U19 mixed IPT players whooped opponents, bringing home gold, silver and bronze medals.
U16B’s ladies took bronze in the seven-a-side tournament when beating KwaZulu-Natal 34-21. The team were under coach Michelle Jacobs and team manager Shantel Jacobs.
U19B’s mixed six-a-side won silver when they lost to The Vaal 46-20. The team were under coach Brendan Brown and team manager Annemari Brown.
The gold medal winners were the U19B ladies seven-a-side team, who beat Gauteng Indoor 28-18 at the final whistle.
Coach Juane Annandale and team manager Margaret Annandale led the team to victory. The U19B mixed HJ Hobkirk and Armand Coetzer were selected for the South Africa training squad.
