Sasol beats Middelburg in Premier League

Sasol and the Bethal Buffels will tackle each other on April 26.

Sasol Secunda Rugby Club’s first and second teams beat Middelburg in their matches on April 12 in Middelburg.

These matches form part of the MRU Premier League. Some of Sasol Rugby Club’s loyal fans travelled to Middelburg to support their teams.

Sasol 1 had ball possession throughout their game, and by halftime, Sasol 1 had 27 points and Middelburg three.

Sasol 1 beat Middelburg with 82-3. The scorers were JW Lourens with four tries, Jandré Matthee with three, Jarno Haarhoff with two tries, EJ Venter, Reagan Tsotetsi, Dirk Coetzer, Wynand Venter and Danru Bosman with one try each and Coetzer, who converted seven tries successfully.

Haarhoff got the award for the man of the match. Sasol 2 won 48-10.

Sasol 2’s scorers were Johan Schutte with three tries, Fortune Dlamikile, Izzy Vula, Sphelo Jama, Liam Kitchenmaster and Sive Veleman with one try each and Garrith Crafford converted four tries.

Dlamikile was the man of the match. He and Haarhoff from Sasol 1 received prizes sponsored by Oregon Spur in Secunda Mall.
