Sanpat Coetzee is the oldest woman to complete the Munga Grit Tankwa, a 500km cycling trip through Tankwa in the Karoo.

At the ripe age of 70, Coetzee cycled for 50 hours from April 11 to April 13. She has always had a profound passion for sports and has competed in hockey, squash, and athletics.

However, this is not her only first. She was the first woman in SA to serve as the director of sports at the University of Johannesburg.

Coetzee continues to live out her love and passion for sport daily, participating in shuffling and generally keeping fit.

Her performance at the Munga Grit Tangwa has inspired countless people to keep on regardless of age or handicaps.
