Donate to raise money for babies and children in Secunda area
Pensioners Johan and Hendrik Keyser and Antoinette Coetzee did the 30km-a-day walk and reached their target of 150km by May 10.
The Tree-Seeds Foundation, an NPO in Secunda, and the Ligdraers are working on a big project.
In collaboration with the SAVF Secunda Child and Youth Care Centre, they want to erect a built-in baby saver to allow mothers to anonymously and safely leave an infants in a box-like structure built into a wall and not dump the babies in a gutter.
The Ligdraers (Lightbearers) embraced their annual 30km a day walk from May 5 to 10. This project will run over six months.
The money raised will go towards this built-in baby saver at the centre, expanding the SAVF baby safe house and the SAVF House Exodus in Trichardt.
Money will also go to supporting families with neurodivergent children via workshops for parents and teachers with children on the neurodiverse spectrum.

The community, businesses and schools are asked to support this fundraiser. The pensioners walked in Secunda and Trichardt and visited the premises for a photo opportunity and pledges.
They stopped at Highveld Park High School on May 8, where an envelope of money raised by the teachers and learners was handed to the Ligdraers.
Highveld Park High School challenges other local schools to do the same, as every bit counts towards the Ligdraers’ projects.
Your sponsorship will go towards the built-in baby saver, expanding the SAVF house for 10 infants aged 0 to 36 months and House Exodus in Trichardt, which will accommodate six young post-matric orphans.
