Evander Magistrate’s Court postpones bail application of man implicated in taxi owner’s murder
Speaking outside the Evander court, Fanyana Sibanyoni, Vukta chairperson, addressed hundreds of members, expressing relief at Temsgeh Hoile’s arrest.
The Evander Magistrate’s Court on May 15 postponed the case against murder suspect Temsgeh Hoile to May 20, allowing time for him to secure new legal representation.
Hoile had been scheduled to apply for bail, but his attorney unexpectedly withdrew from the case.
He was linked to the November 2021 murder of Fannie Khumalo, a Kinross taxi boss and prominent member of the Vukanini Taxi Association (Vukta), after Gauteng police arrested Hoile for other crimes that he allegedly committed.
Four armed men gunned down Khumalo at his home while preparing his fleet of minibuses for daily transport operations.
He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

The trial of the three accused is underway in the Delmas High Court, with proceedings postponed until August 2026.
Speaking outside the Evander court, Fanyana Sibanyoni, Vukta chairperson, addressed hundreds of members, expressing relief at Hoile’s arrest.
“It has been almost three years since we have been searching for this man, but finally, the Gauteng police arrested him for another crime. We are happy that they finally found him to face justice for his involvement in killing our member,” said Sibanyoni.
