Parkrunners do not fear chilly mornings, misty days in Standerton

The 86 parkrunners who completed the 298th Standerton parkrun at the Riverpark on May 17 do not fear chilly mornings or misty days.
Among these participants, Sandile Mawela (34:37) and Naho Magidi (42:58) set new personal best times. Saturday also boasted eight participants taking on the Standerton parkrun for the first time.
Pieter Jansen van Vuuren completed the 5km route in 23:05, followed by Eugene Viljoen (24:29), Zakkai Wessels (26:04), Pieter Grobbelaar (27:17), Janke Draper (27:41), Graeme Neilson (27:46), Leann Moll (28:53) and Daleney Grobbelaar (29:04).
The volunteers who made the event possible were Renette de Sousa, Antoinette Herbst, Nadine Hoop, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Sylvy Moodley, Marion Jean Robertson, Zeldine Strydom, Marjorie Uys, Daniel Wright and Noluthando Zweni.
