Say cheers to big things in small packages as Cullinan aims to set a Guinness World Record. The Blue Diamond Pub, proudly claiming the title of Africa’s smallest pub, has officially opened its tiny doors at the Makers Village, 103 Oak Avenue, Cullinan.
Measuring just 1.2m in diameter, this pint-sized pub is half the size of the current Guinness World Record holder, The Signal Box Inn in the UK at 2.4m².
According to Tania Bryant of the Makers Foundation, an application has already been sent to the Guinness Book of Records for recognition.
But the Blue Diamond isn’t just a charming curiosity – it’s a bold little beacon of green design.
Built entirely from recycled materials, it celebrates the eco-innovation ethos of the Makers Village, and is an extension of the quirky Hotel Cullifornia.
Whether you’re popping in for a tiny tipple or the perfect selfie, the Blue Diamond adds an unforgettable twist to Cullinan’s growing list of offbeat tourism attractions.
“Our mission is simple: to promote Cullinan and revive Oak Avenue with creativity, sustainability, and a bit of fun,” says Bryant.
