LLM appoints new MMC for Corporate Services
Amanda Mthimkhulu was appointed to the Mayoral Committee. She will serve as MMC for Corporate Services.
Amanda ‘Mankane’ Mthimkhulu was officially welcomed into the mayoral committee on July 29 following her appointment as the MMC for Corporate Services.
Executive Mayor Sifiso Mngemezulu said the appointment forms part of a broader realignment of the mayoral committee aimed at improving institutional performance, accountability, and stability within local governance.
“Mthimkhulu brings with her a sound understanding of municipal operations and a commitment to community development,” said Mngemezulu.
He added that her dedication to public service makes her well-suited to the role, which comes at a time when the alignment between institutional performance and service delivery is more important than ever.
“She takes on this role at a crucial time. Her leadership is expected to help strengthen corporate governance and enhance service delivery,” he said.
Mngemezulu emphasised that Mthimkhulu’s appointment reflects the municipality’s commitment to building a people-focused administration and expressed confidence in her ability to contribute meaningfully to the city’s goals.
