Parkrunners dress in pink for Women’s Day in Trichardt
The event drew 80 finishers, of whom 20 were first-timers.
Terra Nova parkrun celebrated its Women’s Day event on Saturday with with pink-themed decorations and breakfast vouchers for the women.
The event drew 80 finishers, of whom 20 were first-timers. Gerrie Odendaal (45:05), Alischa Brits (49:54), and Brezhell van der Merwe (50:15) improved their personal best times.
The first five people to finish the run were Wian Louwrens (24:37), Jurgens Wicks (24:38), Xander Kotze (29:08), Hennie Kotze (29:20), and Neels van der Merwe (29:38).
The volunteers who made the event possible were Karla Coetzer, Meraai Coetzer, Annuscha Erasmus, Stephanie Erasmus, Hanne-Marie Griffin, Lorraine Griffin, David Maans, Mpho Motsepe, Bernhard Rijnen, Christelle Schoeman, Nhuscha Schoeman, Rosjané Schoeman, and Alexander van Niekerk.
