Podcaster from Secunda gives you a voice
Hope Ndlovu started her podcast in a shack and now uses it to spotlight talent and help others heal.
Driven by her passion, podcaster Hope Ndlovu (34) gives you a platform to vent about anything. Hope is a local radio presenter and has heard many people’s stories. Her podcast, Let’s Vent With Hope, is where people share them.
“You can vent and talk your heart out, and people will hear your story. People can learn from your story,” said Hope.
She speaks to people who have past traumas, hardships or those struggling in their careers. Anything and everything you can relate to, Hope shares on her platform.
“I am a great believer in God. He can do all things when it seems impossible for you,” said Hope.
She said there is not much local exposure for talented artists, so many go to the cities to get it.
“Our municipality needs to recognise our local talents. My podcast does not just vent about negative things; it also exposes our local talent,” said Hope.
Hope is also a waitress at a coffee shop in Secunda and uses her tips to invest in her podcast.
“I began my podcast in my room in a shack in 2024. I now need a place or sponsors who will open their business or homes where I can do my podcast more regularly,” said Hope.

She has had great feedback from listeners about her content and areas where she can improve. She also sells clothes as extra income and is involved in ministry. Hope is a single parent to a 15-year-old daughter.
“I never had the time to spend with my daughter. I had to hustle to survive; I missed the years of her growing up. My mother had to help me raise her,” said Hope.
She stated that her podcast not only helps others but also assists her in healing from her past struggles to survive day-to-day.
Her dream is to expand her podcast and reach a wider audience.
“Good things must start at the bottom, so begin small and build up. Do not give up on life because of your struggles,” is her advice.
She said her podcast is a platform for people to speak out. She also takes negative comments as beneficial.
“People will judge you and your character. But I will not let negativity discourage me from doing my podcast. People told me it would not work in eMbalenhle, but I am doing this,” said Hope.
During her interview with the Ridge Times, Hope hosted gospel singer and minister Zandile Motsoeneng at the Jabliano Guest House in Secunda.
Zandile is an award-winning gospel singer who spoke to Hope about her success in her career and involvement in ministry. See the podcast here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMluvYb7aak.
