Secunda’s Suikerbekkies decorate high tea cupcakes
Suikerbekkies members will meet again at the NG Goedehoop Rots building on September 17.
High tea cupcake decorating techniques was the class given at the Suikerbekkies meeting held at the NG Goedehoop Rots building on August 20.
Members were shown the mixing style of icing beaten. Only three ingredients – butter, icing sugar, and vanilla – were used.
The longer the icing is beaten, the fluffier and lighter the icing becomes in consistency. The icing was then mixed with different shades of pink, being Women’s Month.
Members got to pipe their cupcakes with floral decorations fit for a high tea occasion.
The next meeting will take place on September 17. Bakers, young and old, who want to enhance their skills and techniques can join the Suikerbekkies.
