WATCH: Ride4Hope cyclists hand over classrooms in Ladysmith

They will continue on their last stretch to Soweto on Saturday.

Dozens of cyclists have set off yesterday (September 3) on the eighth Nelson Mandela Legacy Ride4Hope, a four-day cycling excursion from the Nelson Mandela capture site in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal to Soweto.

For these four days, cyclists are experiencing life on the road, making memories, chasing personal best times, and contributing to creating a legacy in each town they pass through. Their first overnight town, was Ladysmith.

Today, the riders handed over classrooms to a small school in the Ladysmith area before taking on the road to Newcastle.

The cyclists will cover the 155km from Newcastle to Standerton tomorrow, where they will stay at the Appledew Guest House.

They will continue on their last stretch to Soweto on Saturday.
