The Standerton High School U16 rugby team competed in the Noordvaal Championships on August 23 and emerged as the champions.

This exceptionally strong team was crowned champs after beating Hoërskool Fochville 31-26.

The team also won the Mpumalanga championship.

Principal Pierre Marais expressed pride in the team and remained at the rugby field until the final whistle.
