Action SA Clr for Region 7, Cobus Coetzee, attended the Kwasimkhulu ‘King’ Ndzundza commemoration near Sokhulumi, Ekangala, on September 13.
Coetzee attended as a VIP guest, representing the Tshwane speaker’s office, at the kraal of Ndebele king Ikozi Mahlangu et Esgodlweni in Rooipoort.
The Kwasimkhulu commemoration, arranged by the Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, included discussions about establishing a heritage site and erecting a King Ndzundza statue.
Dr Langalibalele Mbonani from Inongwana African Crown was a guest speaker. Lindiwe Mahlangu represented the royal family, and Ikosi MP Mahlangu addressed the guests.
