Accident involving a truck and an ambulance on the N17 near Kinross

It’s alleged that the driver of the ambulance made a U-turn and crashed into a truck.

Emergency services are currently on the scene of an accident involving a truck and a provincial ambulance that happened at around 7:30 this morning, October 17.

According to information received, the ambulance service was responding to a scene of a person who had hung themselves from a bridge.

It’s alleged that the driver of the ambulance made a U-turn and crashed into a truck.

The truck came to a standstill on its side.

Provincial ambulance services and ER24 responded, treated the injured paramedics, and transported them to a hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this stage.

No further details were available at the time of publishing.

The road is currently closed for forensic investigation. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and to use alternative routes.
