Blood drive in Standerton saves lives

The SANBS collected 37 units of blood that day.

Lekwa Collision Repair hosted a blood drive on its premises on November 5. The event attracted several donors.

Several stakeholders, including All Star Towing, RE/MAX and Kasselman Security Services, set up tents and gave each donor a treat for their efforts.

While parents donated blood, children had fun jumping on the bounce castle, which some adults took advantage of, too. Thirty-seven donors gave blood. These donations can save up to 111 lives of patients needing transfusions.
