SAPS nab man for alleged indecent act with minors in eMbalenhle
The case has been forwarded to the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit for further investigation.
After allegations surfaced that a man committed an indecent act involving several children, he was arrested on November 6.
Constable Busi Mthethwa, the eMbalenhle SAPS spokesperson, confirmed that the police were summoned to the scene in Mandlela Section.
Two women had approached a concerned mother, saying they saw the suspect enter his bedroom with five children, including her four-year-old daughter.
Upon questioning her daughter, the child confirmed that she and her friends had gone with the man to his home, where he offered them sweets before allegedly instructing them to perform inappropriate acts.
Another woman unexpectedly entered the house and helped the children escape by opening a door. Mthethwa said the police’s swift response led to the arrest of the suspect.
