Dra Mekaar members get merry in Secunda at final meeting of 2025
This was the last Dra Mekaar meeting for the year. Members will meet again on January 21, 2026.
‘Tis the season to be jolly’ for Dra Mekaar members who had their last meeting for 2025 on November 12 at the NG Kerk Goedehoop Gemeente.
Members were welcomed into a hall with table settings decorated in festive Christmas themes. The morning get-together was opened with a scripture reading and a prayer by Reverend Diederich Kleynhans.
Willie Botha was the guest performer who entertained the seniors with songs and concertina sounds. Members were thanked for their teamwork in all Dra Mekaar’s community projects, fundraising, and donations.
They also thanked Jakkie Botha and her team for the catering they provided throughout the year.
Birthday wishes were extended to members Bettie du Preez, Elsa Burger, Martiens Prinsloo, Liana du Toit, Cora Rossouw, Ella Botha, Fanie du Plessis, Sarie Keyser, Sid McCallaghan, Hennie Alberts, Lena Rudman, Barbie du Preez, Marietjie Harris, Maurie Page, Ferdie Engelbrecht, Maggie Visser, Ria van der Merwe, Laetitia Joubert, and Gail Henstock.
