Golf players tee off in Evander for GBV awareness

The proceeds of golf days will go to good causes.

A local business hosted a golf day at the Walker Park Golf Club to raise money to generate GBV awareness, with the event held on November 14.

The winners of this golf day, held as a full American scramble, were Dorothy Pieterse, Dorian van Staden, Izak Leonard and Jaco Bam.

They made 63 points, while L Naudé, W Smit, J Millich and N van Niekerk finished second.

The Droomvangers, a group that organises golf days specifically to help less fortunate children, had a golf day on November 15.

Seventy golf players participated in this golf day, which was a four-ball alliance scramble drive.

J van Tonder, D van Tonder, N van Wyk, and H Gertzen won the day with 119 points. P Petherbridge, C Venter, D Pieterse and D van Staden finished second, with 118 points.
