Companies take hands and fix roads in Secunda

Sasol sponsors community-focused initiative.

Several companies in Secunda joined hands to upgrade and fix some of the main roads in this town. These companies include BopCons, Lumina Infra Systems and Top Carpet Secunda.

The owner of Top Carpet Secunda, Shay Kallie, said this is a community-focused maintenance programme launched as a Sasol sponsored initiative.

“This partnership aims to address deteriorating road surfaces and potholes while also creating jobs for local people,” said Kallie.

Backed by Sasol as part of its broader commitment to infrastructure and community support in the Govan Mbeki municipal area, the programme will combine BopCons’ national track record in heavy civil construction, Lumina Infra Systems’ specialist road maintenance technology, and Top Carpet Secunda’s project coordination.

Lumina Infra Systems will lead on the technical roadworks component, including advanced repair methods, preventative maintenance strategies and quality control.

“The Secunda community has been supporting our business for year, now this is our chance to give back to the community and to be part of something that visibly improves people’s daily lives,” said Kallie.

Other contributors to this initiative include Ricky B Trucking, Procon Readymix, Sibacon Industries, Timbuild Trichardt, Talisman Tool Hire and Digimag Properties.
