101 enjoy parkrun fun in Standerton
Bongane Mpokane was the first finisher, completing the 5km run in 17:57.
The Standerton Riverpark parkrun hosted its 334th event on January 17. One hundred and one runners attended, of whom eight gained new personal best times.
Bongane Mpokane was the first finisher, completing the run in 17:57.
Pieter Jansen van Vuuren was the second finisher with a time of 22:22, followed by Rhabo Patrick Tsotetsi (22:33), Timothy Hoop (24:01), and Eugene Viljoen (24:14).
Mxolisi Dludla was the sixth finisher with a time of 25:11.
Parth Jayram completed the run in 26:37.
Ayanda Dlamini had a time of 27:05.
Zander and Petra van der Linde came in at 27:10.
Runners who gained new personal best times included Nholoso Tshabangu (37:22), Lesney Molepo (38:46), Nhlanhla Dladla (42:22), Riekie Wolmarans (42:33), Ilana Beyneveldt (42:51), Benjamin Hermans Beyneveldt (42:52), Antoinette Swart (52:49), Reinette de Beer (54:00), and Ryno de Beer (54:11).
The volunteers who made this event possible are Danie Laufs, Frans Vermaak, Jennifer Naidoo, Johannes Vosloo, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Lydia Roets, Marjorie Uys, Nienke Swart, Séan Jansen van Rensburg, Strini Naidoo, Susan Laufs, TJ Mokone, and Vanessa King.
The Standerton Riverpark parkrun takes place every Saturday at 08:00 in the Standerton Riverpark.
