Support Bethal School Challenge

Visit the donor centre in Bethal this week still to show your support.

The Community Policing Forum (CPF) in Bethal challenged schools to take part in their blood drive initiative by donating blood.
This challenge started on January 19 and will end on January 30.

Residents, pupils, teachers and parents still have time until Friday to show their support by donating blood. Jaap Pretorius, chairperson of Bethal CPF said: “Your blood can be the difference between life and death for someone in need.

“Let us show up, donate, and make our community an even more awesome place.”

People can visit the Bethal donor centre at the Cosmos Centre near Spar and state which school they are donating for.

The top three schools who donate the most blood, will win prizes. There are also various vouchers up for grabs and there will be a lucky draw on January 31.

Some of the vouchers include R500 in cash prizes and vouchers from MBT, Klipfontein Slaghuis, Jaworth, Zhous, Mica, Costa, Kukhona, Konics, Local Choice Kosmos and Local Choice Medical Centre and Prima.

There will be a lucky draw for a winner every day for the duration of the blood drive.

The Bethal CPF already collected 253 units of blood with this initiative and still needs at least 37 units of blood daily to reach their target.
