Blood donors give the gift of life in blood drive in Secunda

Secunda residents came together to donate 75 pints of blood, potentially saving 225 lives.

Locals came to support the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) blood drive, hosted by RE/MAX Homefinders in collaboration with GTR, MCR, and SSV Attorneys at the RE/MAX premises on March 28.
A total of 75 pints of blood was donated.

Three lives can be saved for each pint of donated blood, and thanks to the public who donated theirs, up to 225 lives can be saved. To donate, a person must be between 16 and 75 years old, weigh at least 50kg, be in good health, lead a low-risk lifestyle and consider their blood safe for transfusion.

You can donate at the Secunda SANBS building at the Grand Palace on Heunis Street.
