Dra Mekaar in Secunda hosts sales morning

Members will meet again on April 22 at the NG Kerk Goedehoop Gemeente.

Members of the Dra Mekaar group gathered at the NG Kerk Goedehoop Gemeente on April 8 for a vibrant morning market.

The meeting opened with scripture and prayer led by Ben Moolman, accompanied by the musical talents of Andre Jonker and Maurie Page.

Embracing the “one man’s treasure” spirit, members filled tables with everything from ornaments and knitted goods to home-baked treats.

April birthday wishes were extended to Magda Booysen and Gertrude Pretorius. A reminder was issued for the fidget sleeves intended for dementia patients.

The formal handover of the fidget sleeves will take place during the Dra Mekaar outing to the Silwerjare Old Age Home on September 2.

Support is requested for the soup and pasta collection for Adullam Missionary. The handover will be done on June 10.

The next meeting on April 22 will feature a handover of baby items for the Baby Basket. Contributions are still welcome on the day.

Finally, members were reminded that payments for the annual holiday to De Voetpadkloof in October are due by June 10. For more information, contact chairperson Eileen Bezuidenhout at 082 467 5307.
