Vuyo achieves new heights in performing arts world

Teachers at school are grateful to Nzambenang Film Production NPC.

A learner of Vaalrivier School in Standerton excelled in the performing arts industry. Vuyo Mthembu recently did a successful audition for the Nzambenang Film Production non-profit company (NPC).

After auditioning in March, his talent and enthusiasm earned him a spot in a series of developmental workshops.

These workshops were held in preparation for the stage production ‘The Light Within’, which premiered in March 2026 at the Stanwest Hall in Standerton.

According to his teachers at Vaalrivier School, Mthembu’s selection marks an important achievement and highlights his dedication and passion for the performing arts.

Since he was selected, Mthembu has attended all scheduled workshops and has officially signed a contract with Nzambenang Film Production NPC.

Rentia Swart of Vaalrivier School said they appreciate Wendy Mlangeni and her team at the NPC’s efforts in giving learners a platform to showcase their talents.

“We are proud of Vuyo’s accomplishment and look forward to supporting him on his journey,” said Swart.

Nzambenang Film Production NPC is currently visiting different schools in Standerton, bringing performing arts opportunities to young aspiring artists across the community.
