Constables Ina Mahlangu, Lucky Shabangu, and Musa Hlanzi — police officers stationed in eMbalenhle — appeared in the Evander Magistrate’s Court today, August 26, in connection with the death of a motorist from eMbalenhle.

The trio was arrested while on duty yesterday.

They are suspected of assaulting a motorist who was involved in an accident in Extension 26 on August 17. The man later died in hospital.

Mahlangu, Shabangu, and Hlanzi will apply for bail on August 28.
