Eight arrested in Kinross after mob-justice victim dies
Kinross police have arrested eight suspects in connection with the alleged murder of a man who was assaulted by community members in Extension 25 on July 18. According to Kinross police spokesperson, Constable Cebisile Mlambo, police responded to a complaint about a man lying next to the road in Ext 25.

According to Kinross police spokesperson, Constable Cebisile Mlambo, police responded to a complaint about a man lying next to the road in Ext 25.
“It is alleged that the man was assaulted by community members who suspected him of stealing property,” said Mlambo.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the man lying on the ground with visible head injuries, bruises and blood covering his head.
An ambulance was summoned, but paramedics declared him dead at the scene. Police arrested eight people, who have since been charged with murder.
Mlambo said the investigation is ongoing and that more arrests may follow as police continue to gather evidence.
Police have urged community members not to take the law into their own hands and to report suspected criminal activity to the police so it can be investigated through the proper legal processes.
