Cashbuild relaunches store at eKhaya Mall and rewards local schools
Three learners from each of the eight schools were awarded gold, silver and bronze certificates at the relaunch for their drawings.
Cashbuild at the eKhaya Mall relaunched the opening of their store on Thursday, August 4.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions, there was never a chance to host an official opening in April last year when doors opened to the public.
Cashbuild used this opportunity to not only relaunch their store, but to also give back to the community by awarding eight schools with an in-store credit of R15 000 each.
Learners from each school were also allowed to take part in the Art-at-Heart campaign.

Three learners from each of the eight schools were awarded gold, silver and bronze certificates at the relaunch for their drawings.
The vibe and participation of the learners on the day of the relaunch were astronomical.
They were entertained by Luan de Beer who brought them to their feet to sing and dance along.
Learners were also given goodie bags afterwards.

Speaking to the learners and educators who accompanied them, Willie Dreyer, OPS executive for Cashbuild South Africa said: “It took a lot of hard work to open the store and to get the store looking the way it does.”
“We are giving back to the community. As the manager of this store, I thank you for all the support,” said store manager Nelly Ndlangamandla.
She said Cashbuild listens to its customers and is rewarding its client-base with rewards when they spend R15 000 or more.

Instead of the usual ribbon cutting, Cashbuild did it the Cashbuild way.
Gugu Mtshali, a Grade 7 learner from Shapeve Primary School, was awarded for the best drawing throughout all the schools.
She was chosen as the manager’s choice to saw through a piece of wood as a ribbon cutting.
Schools that benefited were SS Mshayisa Primary School, Zamokuhle Primary School, Thorisong Primary School, Kinross Primary School, Shapeve Primary School, Lifalethu Primary School, Tholukwazi Primary School and Mbalenhle Primary School.
