Forum, Phakisa donate school shoes in Lekwa

According to the forum, they will participate in many development programmes at the final stages of implementation.

The Lekwa Municipality’s LED Forum, Phakisa, and other role players donated school shoes this past week to iGugulabasha Primary, Azalea Combined, and Shukuma Primary schools.

A statement from the forum said the donation was part of corporate social responsibility discussions to ensure obligations were fulfilled and the unprivileged schools received support through social partnership.

The forum has held many engagements with social partners of Lekwa to restore the theme of ‘social impact’ through practical action.

The forum called for the municipality’s social partners to contribute to community social development.

“It’s through a practical plan of action and stakeholders’ partnership that underlying social issues the community face, particularly young people, are addressed,” the statement read.

According to the forum, they would participate in many development programmes at their final stages of implementation.

They thanked Phakisa for honouring the submissions forwarded by the structure to assist the community.
