Workers from the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) are working on the R513 towards Cullinan.
The EPWP focuses on skills development and providing work opportunities for the unemployed.
EPWP creates work opportunities in four different sectors such as infrastructure, environmental, culture and social.
They also ensure that unemployed people receive a stipend for work done.
The Gauteng Provincial legislature also hired Lubcon Construction Services to work alongside the EPWP to fill up the potholes and open the water pipes running under the roads.
People from all across Gauteng have been pulled into this programme.
