Founded last March, the Go-Getters Netball Group from Evander helps young girls stay off the streets and do something healthy.
This team participated in the second annual tournament at Vulamasango Primary School in Nelspruit on November 4. All three Go-Getters Netball teams won their matches and went home with gold medals.
The founder of this netball group, Anusha Watts, said they are nurturing the girls’ talents and some of them are selected for the Mpumalanga’s Puma netball teams.
The teams practice at the stadium in Evander, but Watts said it is not in a good condition.
She said anybody wanting to get involved and willing to help them with maintaining the stadium, equipment, and uniforms may call her on 068 116 1307 or Felicity Ndlovu on 066 103 1177.
