Standerton Police gets recognition at district’s excellence awards
The station commander thanked everybody who contributed to the station’s success and emphasised the importance of team work.
Standerton Police scooped up several awards at the recent excellence awards of the Gert Sibande District, with the station commander, Josias Africa, announced as best in his category.
He was appointed in December last year and under his leadership, the station received certificates for best accounting station, best loss management station, best human resources station, best finance station and best in logistics.
The crime prevention unit came second.
Officers and personnel were in attendance at the conference room of the police station on November 23, with Captain Ntuli giving a spiritual message and saying a prayer.
Programme director Warrant Officer Mthetwa ensured the event ran smoothly.
The station commander thanked everybody who contributed to the station’s success and emphasised the importance of teamwork.
“The good work has been acknowledged,” he said.
