Walker Park’s men compete in league matches
Golfers compete in the Highveld Golf Association Nett League.
Walker Park’s A, B, and C league players took to golfing greens to compete for top spots in the Highveld Golf Association Nett League for 2024 on January 27.
In the A league, Schalk Burger, Jaco Bam, Tyrone Snyman, Herby van Rensburg, Anthony Naude, Jihan Naude, Peppie Petherbridge and Morne Nortje competed against Piet Retief.
The men lost to Piet Retief with a final score of six points to two.
On home ground, Walker Park B league’s Arno Spangenberg, Hannes Henderson, Isak Leonard, Ludre Spangenberg, Butch Collett, Leon Muller, Hennie de Lange and At van Jaarsveld took on Witbank C.
Witbank won by five points to three.
In the C league, Walker Park’s Pierre Theron, Tiaan Burger, Ernst Horn, Johan Snyman, Stanley Dodd, Riaan Burger, Jacques Siebrits and Jaco Joubert, competed against Bethal’s David Krause, Koos Schoeman, Reghard Jansen van Rensburg, Isak Kechner, Nicklaus Oosthuizen, Dian Naude, Neil Bouwer and Welden Strydom.
Walker Park came out victorious by seven points to one.
