Helping hands celebrated with the Bronkhorstspruit police the National Police Day.
Solidarity’s Helping Hands in Bronkhorstspruit joined hands to celebrate National Police Day on January 27 by thanking the police for the work they do in the community.
Bronkhorstspruit Primary School’s Grade Two and Three learners drew pictures, which were then presented to the police officers in Bronkhorstspruit.
On National Police Day, SAPS remembers the sacrifices that the men and women in blue have made and continue to make as they provide safety for all who live in South Africa.
The Police Cabinet approved January 27 as a National Police Day in 2005.
The day is celebrated each year to signify the anniversary of the establishment of the police service in 1995.
National Police Day also indicates to local and international communities that the police are respected for the law and order and the safety it provides for South Africa and its people.
