Secunda Round Table donates to good causes

The Secunda Round Table 231 donated loads of goods to the Kosmos Children’s Home in Kriel and the Highveld Ridge SPCA last weekend.
The men took stacks of blankets to the SPCA, which it will use as bedding for the animals in its kennels.
The Kosmos Children’s Home received a truckload of linen, bedding, curtains, clothes and packs of stationery for the children at the home. Topfix sponsored the truck and the transportation of the goods to Kriel.
The small group of men involved in the local Round Table collected these items at various awareness drives and events.
“Round Table is an organisation where men between the 18 and 39 can fellowship and find comradery while being involved in projects which make a difference in their community and the lives of the less fortunate,” said Jaco Swarts.
“We invite you to become part of our group. It is such a rewarding experience,” he explained.
Swarts said that although many businessmen have been part of the Round Table, anyone who wants to share in their cause is welcome.
“Round Table is so much more than just doing charity work, hanging out with the boys and having fun. The organisation builds character and challenges you to discover and nurture talents you never thought you had,” explained Swarts.
According to Swarts, this by no means excludes the partners who are part of their lives.
“We believe in the family bond and that it is important for members to include their loved ones with special get-togethers, gala events and much more.”
People who want to support the Round Table’s cause but do not have time to be involved are welcome to donate money, non-perishable foods, blankets, warm clothes and whatever you have in your heart to share.
