Standerton Regional Court sentences murderer to 15 years behind bars

The Mpumalanga Division of the Regional Court in Standerton sentenced Mthokozisi Masondo (36) to 15 years of direct imprisonment on April 17.

According to court proceedings, a heated argument between Masondo and his male friends escalated to a violent altercation in Kosmospark on December 12, 2017, at about 01:30.

Masondo fatally shot Bonginkosi Prince Nzimande (27) three times with his licensed firearm.

Medical professionals on the scene confirmed his demise.

Standerton Police arrested Masondo after an intensive police investigation.

The investigation officer was Constable ZD Ngwenya.
