While hundreds of runners took part in the Goldi 4-in-1 marathon on March 21, 68 dedicated parkruners finished the 343rd parkrun at the Riverpark.
Despite the duck weather, new personal best times were set by eight participants.
They are Lunga Ayabonga (19:52), Syanda Njabulo (20:34), Leann Moll (26:34), Banele Dlamini (27:18), Petro Jaars (37:38), Ilana Beyneveldt (38:35), Anneke Gelderblom (40:28), Tyron Otto (53:56) and Ida Mouton (55:26).
Bongane Mpokane (19:36) was the first runner to complete the 5km route. He was followed by Ayabonga , Njabulo, Mthokosizi Sehlako (23:35) and Moll.
The volunteers who made the event possible, were Séan Jansen van Rensburg as the run director, Susan Laufs, Lizette Jansen van Rensburg, Johannes Vosloo, Renette de Sousa, Sylvy Moodley, Jennifer Naidoo, Daniel Wright, Noluthando Zweni and Janie Roux.
