Daybreak Farms open hands to Sundra Primary

The school’s request fell within the company’s strategic focus, which is education, nutrition, sport and agriculture.

A mutually beneficial relationship between Daybreak Farms and Sundra Primary School was established in February.

This followed after the school opened its doors to Daybreak Farms to host the Business for a Sport day.

So when Sundra Primary sent a donation request for a list of much-needed items required by the school, Daybreak responded positively.

The school’s request fell within the company’s strategic focus, which is education, nutrition, sport and agriculture.

The CEO, Matshela Seshibe, together with other Daybreak Farm personnel paid a visit to the school on Wednesday, August 31.

The school was presented with items such as netball field palisades, sporting equipment and a projector.

Chicken, for the school’s feeding scheme, was also delivered on the day.

The mayor of Victor Khanye Local Municipality (VKLM), Vusi Buda, and the speaker, Henry Ngoma, attended the handover.

Buda noted the importance of the role played by Daybreak Farms in the larger community of VKLM.

“This will be the first time our learners eat chicken at school as part of our feeding scheme,” said Vanessa van Rooyen, principal at Sundra Primary School.
