Standerton learner makes history as rugby captain

Angel Nxasane has made history after being selected as captain of the South African Rugby U18 Schools Girls A team.

Hoërskool Standerton’s Angel Nxasane has been selected as captain of the South African U18 schools rugby girls A team.

Principal Pierre Marais described the appointment as an incredible honour, saying that being named captain of the very first SA schools girls A team makes the achievement even more significant.

“Your hard work, dedication, and leadership have earned you this moment, and the entire Hoërskool Standerton family is immensely proud of you,” said Marais.

“We wish you every success as you represent South Africa with pride. We are proud to call you one of our own,” said Marais.
