Well done Jurgens and other staff

Disabled workers inspire able peope.

I hope that you will take the time to read this as I feel that with all the killings, break-ins and arson we read about in the newspaper weekly, maybe you should look at casting a ray of sunshine on people’s day.

I was shopping at Shoprite in Secunda, and an employee called Jurgens came up to me and gave me a fat kiss and a hug.

After a long day in the office, it really brightened up my day.

This young man is “differently abled”.

I have just contacted the manager of Shoprite, Sipho, to commend him on employing Jurgens and that I will now continue to shop at his store due to this fact. He thanked me and told me that he also has three deaf employees and he finds them to be just as competent, if not more so, than his abled bodied staff.

I must say, this is an example that other companies can follow.

I take my hat off to the staff, management and these wonderful people who have so many challenges in their lives at Shoprite Secunda.

I truly hope you write a story regarding this amazing achievement.

Lisa Moolman, Secunda.
