The current situation is that we the tenants of the CBD are tired of hawkers and the flea markets.
We have written hundreds of letters of request to the municipal manager, the mayor, Ms Lindi Masina, and to Mr Nkambule (MMC for Community Services), as well as the Speaker of the Govan Mbeki Municipality.
Our letters with our stores stamps are still safe in the record section of the municipality.
The tenants of the Secunda CBD would like thank the police.
At least the police are very cooperative.
Every time whenever we call the police, they immediately come and remove the hawkers from places where they are not allowed to sell, but the depressing thing is that the municipality claims that Secunda is a modern city and a centre of excellence!
Officials must pay a visit and see what it looks like in front of FNB, Spar, Pep, Fashion World.
