Secunda Taekwondo students get awarded at Masters Camp in Pretoria.
SECUNDA – Members of the Victory Taekwondo Club recently took part in their second Masters Camp in Pretoria and excelled.
Chief instructor Sensei Johann Beukes got the Grand Masters Award of Honour for 2014 and also the Highest Honorably Award for 20 years of service and dedication.
Veruscka du Plessis was awarded as the Junior Leader of the Year, Cornelia Bosh as the Trainee Instructor of the Year, Savarna Singh as Regional Appreciation of the Year, Konrad van Staden as Instructor Special Merits, Rohan Verwey as National Appreciation of the Year and JP Vorster as Instructor of the Year.
Altogether 135 students, parents and instructors attended the Masters Camp.
Chief Master Trodd Droege (8 Degree Black Belt) and Senior Master Rick Abair (7 Degree Black Belt) did special presentations at the Masters Camp.
According to Sensei Beukes, his students learnt a special way of training that makes the training easy and fun for students.
Victory Taekwondo Club already plans next year’s Masters Camp and will invite Songahm Taekwondo students from Sweden, Portugal, Holland, Scotland, Ukraine, Australia and Mozambique.
“We are looking forward to a very exiting and unforgettable 2015,” said Sensei Beukes.
“I would like to thank all our parents, students and instructors who helped me to make this event possible.”
He invited all those interested to join their club and train with them to improve their confidence, discipline, flexibility, self defense and self esteem.
“We have a special two week free class training and everyone is welcome to join us from Mondays to Fridays at 5pm.”
