SECUNDA – The Undertakers Pit Bull Club is a small club comprising Pit bull lovers from Secunda, Heidelberg, Meyerton and Boksburg who train and compete with their dogs at a regulated show with events specifically designed for the dogs.
These events include the following:
Conformation: Dogs are judged according to a breed specific criteria designed to see if the dogs adhere to this criteria.
Long Hang: Designed to see which dog can hang on a piece of conveyer the longest.
High Jump: Designed to see which dog can jump the highest.
Weight pull: Designed to see which dog can pull the most weight.
Iron Dog: This event is an overall completion which takes Long Hang, High Jump and Weight Pull into consideration to see which dog is the best overall dog.
The Undertakers Club congratulated the following dogs and their owners for their achievements over the last couple of months:
Letitia Malan’s dog, Midnight’s Diezel, won the title of Weightpull Champion and Iron Dog Grand Champion.
Lize Potgieter’s dog, Iron Core’s Hitler, is the Conformation Champion.
Neels Muller’s dog, Patches, is the Long Hang Champion.
Neels Muller’s dog, Midnight’s Rambo, is the Long Hang Champion.
Ryan Vermeulen’s dog, Morgan’s Dixie, is one of very few dogs that have become a champion in all events.
The club thanked the members who helped the club win the Club of the Year Competition in 2013.
