Coal Transporters Charity Golf Day held at Bethal Golf Club.

Team Scania won the first annual Coal Transporters Charity Golf Day that was recently held at Bethal Golf Club.

The format was a four-ball Amercian scramble.

The event was organised by Mr Calvin Labuschagne, managing director of Rosco Trading (Pty) Ltd.

He said the company gave R21 000 to Sesifikile Youth Structure in eMzinoni and R11 000 to Bethal Golf Club.

All who attended, enjoyed a breakfast, lunch and dinner and the 84 players (21 x 4 balls) received prizes during the prizegiving.

Mr Labuschagne thanked United Motors, Quantum Energy, HP Kuun, Van Wettens, Geco Gearbox, Rosco Trading, Roadhog Trailers, Protea Tyres, Mont Blanc, Henyo Spares, Scania, Cat Valley, Top Trailer, Atlas 360, UD Nissan, Hydraulic Quip, Burgers Mica, Calze Accommodation and The Lodge for their sponsorships.

He also thanked Kirsten Labuschagne who helped him with the administration and arrangements.

“Thank you to Bethal Golf Club for hosting the event, the course is looking good,” he said.

Mr Labuschagne said they are looking forward to grow and to host a bigger event next year.

“The day was very successful and sponsors and players put in a 100 per cent effort.”
