Motorcyclists kick up dust at Ararat

The winners of the competition received prizes from BMW Pinnacle

Hennie Blignaut was the winner of the Advanced Skills Challenge in the Oppiplaas BMW Pinnacle Skills Weekend held from 3 to 5 February.

The competition took place at the 4×4 Ararat Farm between Standerton and Vrede.

A total of 77 motorcyclists participated, as compared to the 28 last year.

Theo van Niekerk was the runner-up and Charl Potgieter claimed the third position.

Dick Lucas was victorious in the Novice Skills Challenge, while Adrian van Niekerk ended second and Charlton Alberts obtained the third position.

Rika de Bruyn was first in the Women’s Challenge, Marlize Delport was the runner-up and Liezl Geyser ended third.

The winners of the competition received prizes from BMW Pinnacle.

According to Ms Romi Coetzee, organiser, they plan to have the event twice every year.

She said it will be held at the same venue and it is open to men and women.

The next competition is expected to be in October.
