Victory Taekwondo rake in the medals once again

According to Mr JP Vorster, Sabumnim, about 100 fighters participated, of which more than half were local.

Victroy Taekwondo Family Centre hosted a Taekwondo championship at the Secunda Recreation Club on Saturday, 27 May.

The competition included sparring and performing forms or patterns with and without weapons and fighters of all ages could be seen on the mats.

Victory Taekwondo Family Centre won 42 gold medals, 38 silver medals and 27 bronze medals.

The fighters were motivated to try and perform their forms or patterns with different weapons, including nunchucks and long wooden staffs, Sshang-jeol-bong.

Some of the older fighters also took the time to sit with the youngest participants and explained to them some of the rules of the competition and to calm them down before their turn on the mat.
