Mpumalanga Titans women’s cricket team beat their Limpopo opponents

The Mpumalanga Titans women’s cricket team beat their Limpopo opponents in two matches last weekend.

The teams played a 50 overs match on Saturday and a T20 match on Sunday at the Sasol Secunda Cricket Club’s pitch.

The T20 game had everyone on the edge of their seats. Mpumalanga Titans won this game by 14 runs, scoring 82 for six wickets.

Chenelle Roux, a player from Bethal, went in to bat when her team was in a tough spot with losing four wickets in a short span of time.

Chenelle scored 19 runs for the Titans.

This slender 16-year-old girl is a learner from Hoërskool Hoogenhout.

Only one other girl in the Titans team also hails from the Govan Mbeki Municipal area.

She is Nicolien Janse van Rensburg from Secunda who also represents Hoërskool Secunda.
