Taifa FC created some good goal scoring chances in the first few minutes of the match, while Holmdene FC took time to settle in. Jabu Sibanyoni of Taifa FC scored the first goal when he made a long-range shot in the fourth minute.
Holmdene FC did not lose heart, but kept their cool and steadily gained momentum.
In the 11th minute, Holmdene FC paid for the goalkeeper’s mistake when he failed to handle the ball. Taifa FC seemed to take their foot off the pedal after slotting in their second goal and began missing clear-cut chances.
