Five acrobats from Secunda to take part in AFSA Bursary Awards

Acrobats from all the dance schools in the country are chosen for this event if they pass their annual AFSA acrobatic exams with an average of above 91 per cent.

SECUNDA – Elite Acrobatic Club has five acrobats who qualified to take part in the Acrobatics Federation of South Africa (AFSA) Bursary Awards to be held in Pretoria on 9 August.

Acrobats from all the dance schools in the country are chosen for this event if they pass their annual AFSA acrobatic exams with an average of above 91 per cent.

Elite Acrobatic Club’s dancers who obtained above 91 per cent for their exams, are Gunter du Plessis, Cèzanne Carroll, Leché Oelofse, Zanele Hosha and Simoné Stemmet.

Gunter passed his Emerald exam with 91,5 per cent and obtained a silver medal for achieving a point above 90 per cent.

Cèzanne obtained 92,5 per cent in the Emerald exam and also received a silver medal for obtaining a point above 90 per cent.

Leché was the top achiever in the senior group, scoring the highest average of 93,5 per cent in the Emerald exam. She also received a silver medal.

Zanele and Simoné tested for their gold exam. Zanele scored a 92,5 per cent average and Simoné achieved 91, 5 per cent. Both girls received a bronze medal for scoring a mark above 90 per cent.
